Proverbs 28:13

Proverbs 28:13 (KJV) He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

I am going to start posting verses on my blog and Facebook for comments to build conversation around the Word. We will see how this goes and if it goes well I will continue it. I am not going to teach anything but ask you to comment on the verse and tell me a couple things about it. Tell what your experience with this verse has been and how has this verse been internalized in your life. As well as any thoughts on it that you may have.

  1. once we confess our sins, we reveal them to ourselves, as well as to our maker. We then become transparent, and nothing is hidden. we then can allow the light to shine through.

  2. When you confess a sin out loud to someone it becomes a testimony of God's mercy and grace, something beautiful and no longer is the ugly, secret that bound you. Transformation begins from ashes to beauty

  3. I will continue to try not to "teach" but let the words of others teach. Those are some trustworthy words there Anonymous or Anonymooses :D haha. Keep up the good work.

  4. Where there is light the darkness cannot hide. When we confess our sins, we let the light of the truth into the dark places of our hearts. I think that confessing is one of the first steps of forsaking sin.
